Product would be more fun if the tracks leading up to the spiral would stay together. My child would get very frustrated trying to play with this product because we had to be right there to put it back together every time she played with it. It was very frustrating for her and us. It is a VERY poor design. If it would stay together it would be a great toy because she gets excited when they trains would run down the spiral part. We've put it away because it is more of a hassle than an enjoyment to my daughter and us.
The concept of this toy is great! My son loves it and has lots of fun. HOWEVER, it is very flimsy and difficult to keep assembled. It makes it very difficult for parents and we have resorted to keeping toy in box for majority of time.

This is a fun toy - and my 5 yr old LOVES to play with it but gets a bit frustrated with the pillars that tend to slant and then eventually fall - the track tends to come apart at the pillars also. The other thing is the colorfully decorated cardboard that's at the end of the sloping track does not stay in place. Overall though he enjoys it.
Great toy. This toy was an addition to all the other Thomas things we have for our daughter. It is very entertaining and several kids can play at once making the sharing concept a little easier! The track on the downslope could use a few more supports but it works okay.

My 5 year old son loves this toy because it rises above the ground and the trains go fast around it. One annoying problem is that the upper curved track won't always stay attached, making the following track fall apart. That is frustrating for my son.

I wish the tracks wouldnt get disconnected so often. I have to fix the tracks all the time. But my 3 and 5 yr old kids love it. They play for hours on end. Also brings out their imagination.
They recreate scenes from the Thomas and Friends TV show with this toy.
Tried twice to play with this and it was so frustrating for both the parents and grandmother that we have shelved it for good!!
This product was very expensive and did not last for two minutes once it was put together. The track pieces come apart when barely touched and my children became very frustrated with it as did I. It has been in the box since Christmas.
We gave this to my son for Christmas and I was so extremely disappointed in this product. From the very first time we put it together it did not stay together and fell apart immediately after the train ran over the tracks. I gave up trying after about a week of putting it on different surfaces and it is now sitting in a box waiting to be put on [@]. It was too late to return it otherwise it would have gone back.

I bought this for my 3 yr old boy's Christmas. The package looks terrific. It's good to send as a gift. The only drawback is the green tall bridge support is easy to loose. I have to help my boy to fix it all the time. But overall he had lots of fun with it.
[...]I was very disappointed when I but this train set together for my son. As any parent of children under 5 knows toys need to be somewhat sturdy for the kids to play. I bet I spent 3 hours on Christmas resetting this track up because it would fall down if 'someone sneezed too loud!" My son loves Thomas and all the other engine so naturally he wants to play with this [*] but I don't recommend it to anyone who thinks there child will get any form of entertainment
My son has a lot of fun with this toy when it is together. The problem is the pieces are loosely connected and the tracks fall apart very easily.
My son loved the carnival set. However, unlike his other Thomas sets, it requires an adult to help him set it up each time, as the pieces must go together in a very specific way. Also takes up a lot of space to play with and store.
Track that is on the columns detaches very easily, other than that my 5 yr old loves it.
The kids love Thomas the Tank engine, but this Takealong toy is just too flimsy. My 2 year old knocks it over every chance he gets and my 3 year old cannot put it back together without help. Perhaps super-glueing the pieces might work, but it takes up too much space to be assembled all the time.
My son received Carnival for Christmas, his favorite present. He enjoys playing with it. The only problem is the turn at the top is kinda flimsy compared to some of the other Thomas Playsets. If your child likes to have a train with more than two cars behind it, the weight will disconect the turn piece on the top. It's been a little fustrating for our son.
The kids love playing with this toy. It is a lot of fun, but the hill part of track does fall apart easily.
The concept/idea of the toy is great. The disappointment of it, is that it is not the same quality as the other take along thomas products. The track does not stay together. We even tried duck taping it together. When the trains race down the sloped track the force/speed of the train even causes the track to split apart. It is very flumsy, if you accidently bump it while you are playing with it the whole thing falls apart. My kids still play with it and enjoy it, but they are always calling me to come put it back together. Also the track is different then our other take along stuff, so it is not interchangable.
The tracks keep coming off the green towers and collapse. Tried to use putty to stick the track onto the green tower, but even that did not work. Extremely frustrating to the child. Some cars get stuck in the spiral.
The pieces would come apart every time a train went over them. We were constantly reassembling. We love Thomas toys but this one just doesn't have the quality of others.
This is a great set. My suggestions are to make sure you keep the assembly instructions handy - If you kids are like mine they like to take apart but then call for mommy to put it back together :) Easier said than done! This is the most difficult of all the take along sets to put together, but it is well worth it once it is.
My five year old and six year old LOVE this set up, HOWEVER, it needs to be on a flat surface (our dining room table) and takes us nearly the entire table top. It is a little flimsy and can't be bumped into without having the higher track fall over.
After finally fitting all of the special curves of track in the right places we were ready to play. However, any kind of bumping the track would cause it to come apart. I ended up puting a round piece of velcro on each side of track connections and the play time was much less frustrating. No more "cracks in the track". This was still a great train set for our grandson. He used alot of imagination as he played with his trains.
My grandson loves this playset; however, it should have at least one more support beam.
Great product, well made.
This product is fairly easy to put together, however the ramp will fall when run into on accident. It does however entertain my thomas fanatic.
Toddler and preschooler love the sounds and the curly ramp. The high sections that lead to the ramp do not stay connected and fall down easily. So they still play with it, except without the eleveated sections attached.
This toy seems like a lot of fun for my son but the track constantly falls apart which just frustrates him and me because I am constantly putting it back together. It is more work than fun. The concept is great but the design should be better. The gray track pieces that make up the hill should be made like the spiral and it would make it much better! I am sorry I bought this toy.
