I've learned that all my children and grandchildren love toys that are kid-sized. They like to have something small to take along in the car or to just hold in their hands.
My five- year old grand-daughter Ava adores all the pet shop toys---especially the whirl-around.
(Only problem, so does her baby sister, Scarlett.
Scarlett sneaks in Ava's room to play with it, but, of course, she is banned, because the parts are too small.)
