No, I would not recommend this to a friend
We bought the product and we so excited about it, however, the lights do not project on the ceiling or the wall. It didnt matter how dark the room was. I would understand if the batteries were old, or it had been used a lot, but it was brand new, with new batteries!
Since we cant take it back, we will be using it for the music, which does play nicely.
