The Talking Edward Engine has built-in engine recognition technology, which activates personalized greetings from Sir Topham Hatt at Talking Railway Series destinations. Edward is an older engine and extremely kind: kind to small engines who get into difficulties, kind to big engines when they're rude or impatient, and kind to trucks and coaches which he almost never bumps. Talking Edward Engine is compatible with all other Wooden Railway track, trains and buildings.
